*Book Launch: An Introduction to European Theatre: History of Performing Arts from Greek Period to 20^th Century, shall be held on March 3 at Shakir Ali Museum, Lahore. Start time: 5pm. Venue address: 93-Tipu Block, New Garden Town.

The event is being organised by the Pakistan National Council of the Arts.

*6^th Faiz Festival, a three-day event, will kick off at Alhamra Arts Council, beginning March 4. Timings: 10am-10pm.

The festival is back after a two-year hiatus amid the pandemic, packed with theatrical performances, musical evenings, film screenings, art exhibitions, discussions and folk nights. Entry to most of these events is free. The ones that are ticketed include Tahira Syed Kay Saath Ek Shaam on March 4 and An Evening with Zia Mohyuddin on March 6.

Other highlight events include Adab Ka Hosla which features Zehra Nigah, Dr Arfa Syeda and Ahmed Javed in conversation with Asghar Nadeem Syed; Breaking the Bias in Media, a session with Amina Mufti, Roshaneh Zafar and Sarmad Sultan, moderated by Simi Raheal; Gulshan-i-Yaad: A Tribute to Farooq Qaiser by Salima Hashmi and Arshad Mehmood and Mushaira featuring such contemporary poets as Kishwar Naheed, Iftikhar Arif.
