Here’s the lowdown on some of the best fashion moments in recent times that caught our eye
With so many fashion events happening around the globe, we’re forever looking forward to witnessing the biggest and brightest fashion moments on social media. Whether it is an international award ceremony or the glitz and glamour of a local fashion show, a true fashion feast on the ramp or red carpet is what we anxiously wait for, especially in the post-pandemic era. Some of the recent fashion events such as renowned designer Fahad Hussayn’s solo show held in Lahore or the Fashion Awards 2021 that took place in London were a treat in the truest sense. Apart from that, a few international celebs were also seen donning stunning designs by our very own Pakistani designers and we couldn’t be prouder. This surely goes to show that be it fashion or art, creativity knows no borders.
Deepika Padukone in a Faraz Manan sari
After Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was seen wearing Pakistani designer Faraz Manan’s creation for a Diwali advertisement, the recent B-town celebrity to have joined the list is Padmaavat actress Deepika Padukone. The actress shared stories of herself wearing a heavily embellished, exquisite ivory sari by the Pakistani couturier. Her emerald green earrings, sleek hair-do, sultry kohled eyes and nude lips complement the overall look.
Fashion Awards 2021
This year’s Fashion Awards took place in London at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday, with many celebrities bringing their fashion A-game to the awards ceremony. However, our two picks of who dazzled at the event include Dua Lipa and Gabrielle Union.
The British singer-songwriter, Dua Lipa showed up on the red carpet sporting a Morticia Adams look with smoky eyes and bright red nails. She chose an all-black strapless Maximilian gown with sleeve detail that she accessorized with and Tiffany & Co jewellery.
Actress Gabrielle Union sure turned heads wearing an enormous lime green Valentino gown and her equally big hair piled high, paired with minimal jewellery by Messika. Her makeup was kept subtle with nude lips and hints of pink on her eyelids to balance out the drama of her gorgeous ensemble.

Fashion highs at PISA 2021
Actors, designers and models brought their fashion A-game to PISA 2021 that was held in Dubai last month. It won’t be wrong to say that the event was full of glitzy moments, however, a few of our top picks that owned the red carpet include Sana Javed and Fahmeen Ansari.
Though many celebs put their best foot forward and opted for the very classy and graceful sari, Sana Javed seemed to carry her jewel-toned, gorgeous green sari with utmost poise. And we think she looked absolutely ravishing in ace designer Umar Sayeed’s creation. Also, rocking a glimmering gold gown was model Fahmeen Ansari by couturier Shehla Chatoor. Ansari opted for statement gold earrings and matching heels.
