MCU movie, Eternals. While it certainly was a proud moment for Pakistan, this wasn’t the first time that an international celebrity wore an outfit by a Pakistani designer.

Shahrukh Khan

The most recent celebrity to pick Pakistani designer Faraz Manan’s creation for a Diwali advertisement is none other than Bollywood
superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The actor is seen wearing an off-white kurta pyjama which he has paired with a jacket from the designer's menswear range, embellished with
floral motifs and geometric patterns.

Riz Ahmed

British-Pakistani actor, activist, rapper (Riz MC) and a member of Swet Shop Boys, Riz Ahmed opted for a handwoven, seemingly cool and breezy shirt by Rastah for Esquire. While in an interview with MSNBC, the Oscar nominee and Sound of Metal actor also opted for a quirky, printed jacket from Rastah.

Hasan Minhaj

For his sister’s wedding earlier this year, comedian and Patriot Act star Hasan Minhaj went with an exquisite kurta by ace designer Nomi Ansari, who is known for his vibrant and colourful designs. This one-of-a-kind kurta, paired with straight pyjamas, was customised in a unique silver peony shade especially for Minhaj and he sure looks dapper.

During the Royal Visit to Pakistan, the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton wore several creations by Pakistani designers, including Maheen Khan’s classy periwinkle outfit as well as a black and white ensemble from Elan that she mixed and matched with different UK brands. We have to note her fashion-forward but practical sartorial decisions, picking outfits that were chic yet comfortable.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Faraz Manan has clients across the border including Priyanka Chopra and the late Sri Devi among others. However, Kareena Kapoor Khan is one Bollywood star that has been dressed by Faraz Manan for his various campaigns including his lawn collections. The Veere Di Wedding actress also walked the ramp at the 2018 Masala Awards wearing an exquisite gown by the couturier and said that walking for a dear friend at the ceremony made the event more special.

Gigi Hadid

Supermodel Gigi Hadid chose a funky and bright orange peplum tunic from Almirah for Eid back in 2018 and paired it with white trousers, pulling off her eastern attire with aplomb. Zayn Malik also dressed in a white kurta and red trousers for the occasion. Eastern vibes all the way!
