Abu has won 17 international awards. It is a film about the life of the Montreal-based Pakistani director, Arshad Khan, and his complicated relationship with his father. It’s about “a clash between East and West, old and new — but at its heart it is the story of love in a family.”

The film will be followed by a Q/A session with Arshad Khan.

*Bazm-i-Iqbal 2021, organised by Majlis-i-Rumi-o-Iqbal, shall be held on Sunday (today) at DHA Community Hall, Lahore. Start time: 1:30pm. Venue address: J Block, Phase 1, DHA.

Guest speakers include Oriya Maqbool Jan, Dr Sughra Sadaf and Dr Baseera Umbreen. Justice Nasira Javed Iqbal will be the chief guest on the occasion.

There will be a musical performance by Ustad Sajjad Tafu and Ustad Ghulam Hussain Lali.
