ore often than not, we tend to follow celebrities when it comes to a great many things due to the influence they hold. Among those things is how they stay fit and keep up with our strange reality at the same time. In turn, celebrities who look fit put in a lot of effort.
Pilates or yoga might sound like the only workout options reserved for our female stars, but that’s certainly not the case. Nowadays celebrities are training their way to toned and fit bodies, and often hire personal trainers to help them maintain a certain physique they’re comfortable with.
There are many artists whom tend to rely on low-cal faux foods or insanely restrictive meal plans to stay in shape.
When it comes to actress Mansha Pasha, it’s actually about leading a balanced lifestyle.
Mansha Pasha, who co-starred in director Kamal Khan’s critically acclaimed film Laal Kabootar in 2019, can be seen in drama serial Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida alongside Sonya Hussyn and Zahid Ahmed. She is also geared up for the release of her forthcoming movie, Kahay Dil Jidhar (KDJ), opposite singer and actor Junaid Khan.
Instep caught up with the actress to learn more about her lifestyle choices.
Health regime
According to Mansha, she is not a fitness freak but is someone who is quite particular about her health, body, skin and hair. “I make sure to exercise on a regular basis and that my lifestyle choices are healthy as well,” she shares.
“I don’t eat very late at night, I don’t have a sweet tooth so I conveniently avoid sugary items,” she adds.
Fitness goals
Talking about her fitness goals and how she plans to achieve them, the Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida actress says, “My fitness goal is to just stay fit and healthy. I have a bad knee so I indulge in different kind of exercises to retain my knee strength as well as keep my body fit. To be more flexible and have a stronger body, that is pretty much the goal for 2021.”
Eating habits
Mansha notes that she doesn’t have any eating preferences. “I eat anything and everything but in very small quantities; it has been this way since I was a kid,” she shares. “I don’t believe in limiting yourself in terms of food but how much you consume is what matters the most. Eat whatever is cooked at home but have smaller portions throughout the day and that will certainly keep you fit. At least that works well for me.”
The actress believes in having a hearty breakfast and a light dinner. “For breakfast, I eat a boiled egg at times or an omelette with a cup of tea. Sometimes I even have a paratha; it all depends on how hungry I am. They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I totally follow that. It should be your heaviest meal, but make sure that you have a healthy, light dinner,” she stresses.
So, are there any juices that are an important part to her diet? “I like juices especially orange juice and pomegranate juice,” confesses the star. “I do consume them every now and then. Also I really like smoothies and namkeen lassi.”
Workout routine
As far as her exercise regime is concerned, Mansha shares, “I go to The Pilates Lab twice a week, where I do pilates with Manal. Then with Maha, who is my personal trainer at the gym, I do fitness training such as squats, lunges, treadmill and weight training as well. In addition, my focus is on core training exercises that include weights, leg press, chest press etc.”
Stress management strategy
Mental health and physical health go hand in hand and if you are not mentally healthy, then it might hinder you from achieving your full potential. Mansha believes that mental health is extremely important and that gym plays a big part in maintaining your overall well-being.
“Doing physical exercises really helps you mentally, it helps in relieving anxiety as well. There is definitely a link between mental and physical health and I feel if you engage in physical exercises it helps one to stay mentally focussed and stable while releasing stress. Workout releases feel-good hormones endorphins that help one deal with stress and reduce feelings of pain,” she asserts.
