Finding new Feminist Activism in times of Pandemic and Protests, a Facebook Live event hosted by Afkar e Taza ThinkFest and ITU Centre for Governance and Policy, shall be held on Sunday (today) at 7pm (PST).
The event, which promises to be “an informative and engaging session on how feminism is changing around the world, with a focus on the effect of the current pandemic on feminist discourse and practice,” shall be helmed by leading feminist academics and activists including Afiya Shehrbano Zia, Shahrzad Mojab, and Zillah Eisenstein.
Manto Online, organised by Ajoka Institute, shall be webcast on July 24 at 7pm. The performance is being hailed as Pakistan’s first theatre play to be live-streamed. It has been put together by the students at Ajoka’s School of Acting.
Socially distanced art classes continue on Sundays at the House of NANNAs for limited attendance with masks. Timings: 11am to 2pm.
Drawing boards and benches are provided. Bring your own lunch and some soap cakes for the needy.
The classes are held under the tutelage of senior artist and conservationist Dr Ajaz Anwar.
