Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) Forum — Current Pandemic and the Future, a three-day online event organised by ASSITEJ Pakistan and Theatre I Entertainment Trust India, concludes on Sunday (today). Start time: 1:30pm.
Led by seasoned artists and arts managers from six Asian countries, the TYA Forum focuses on “starting conversations, on questions such as how the pandemic has affected the performing arts and theatre for young audiences.” It will also talk about ways for artists to deal with the situation, and look at initiatives and project models that can be adopted.
The speakers on the concluding day’s forum include Kim Seok Hong from South Korea and Monoovash Rahimian from Iran. It will be moderated by Shoaib Iqbal (Pakistan), who is a curator, director and academic of arts projects. Iqbal founded The Little Art, a not-for-profit organisation that uses art to promote positive social values through innovative learning opportunities among children and young adults, especially the marginalised ones.
Free art classes at the House of NANNAs are now held virtually, via video-conferencing, every Sunday. Timings: 11am to 2pm.
The classes are held under the tutelage of senior artist and conservationist Dr Ajaz Anwar.
