This past week was all about ringing in the New Year with optimism and hope. And to kick start 2020 and the new decade in style, the hip and the happening set foot upon the social scene, celebrating with song and dance, and festivity. A number of parties took place this week, including veteran designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin’s get-together and the Special Olympics Ball on New Year’s Eve, both in Karachi. Moreover, Velo Pakistan hosted ‘LIVE 2020’, where celebrities from the entertainment industry stepped in to welcome the New Year.
LIVE 2020 was a star-studded affair. The blue carpet was hosted by Dino Ali and celebrities such as director Saqib Malik, actors Mehwish Hayat, Ali Rehman Khan, Nausheen Shah, Sunita Marshall, veteran designers Deepak Perwani, and Nomi Ansari were present amongst many others.

Special Olympics Pakistan celebrated New Year with the annual fundraising gala in Karachi and as always, the gala was attended by the who’s who of society, as well as the entertainment industry and diplomats. It was glitzy affair where one saw celebrities such as Hania Aamir, Nomi Ansari, Areeba Habib, Shahzad Noor, Sarwat Gilani, Fahad Mirza, Sadaf Kanwal, Mushk Kaleem and many others. Many of these party animals, as you can see, were party hopping all night!
Ace designer, host and choreographer, Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, who celebrated 25 years in fashion last year, hosted a New Year’s party at the HSY mansion and bridal studio in Karachi. HSY has a beautiful home and he’s an even better host, so this was the place to be! Some of the stars who present at the occasion included Feeha Jamshed, stylist Tabesh Khoja (aka Khoji), model Fauzia Aman and others.
