The last one week before Eid has been all about shopping, clothes and exhibitions, with Eid preps underway for most people. In tinsel town, however, the week preceding Eid holidays has also been about film promotions and celebrity sightings. We caught some stars at media junkets, while others kept their Insta feeds alive by posting their style statements. Here are those that we felt stood out…

 

Mira Sethi

Mira Sethi surprises us every now and then and this monochrome cotton-weave sari designed in collaboration with Hira Ali Studios gave us one of those moments. Mira looks glamorous and sophisticated in this understated black and white hybrid sari that sets off her lean physique perfectly. We’re always on the look-out for what Mira is working on next.

 

Meera and Aamna Ilyas

Meera and Aamna Ilyas, both appearing as - what seems like - arch rivals in Saqib Malik’s debut film Baaji have been twinning it of late. They’ve made wardrobe coordinated appearances, the most interesting being this jeans and white shirt look. The hero in this look - other than the ladies themselves - is the chunky gold statement pieces by Ali Javeri jewelers.

 

Iram Parveen Bilal and Abid Merchant

We love it when our high achievers chose to wear local brands to international platforms. Iram Parveen Bilal, recently in Cannes for her film, Wakhri (which was screened at the Cannes Cinéfondation Atelier) chose to wear a colourful, ethnic sari and jacket by Wardha Saleem to the premiere.

 

Neelum Muneer

Wrong No 2 is one of the two romantic comedies releasing this Eid and it promises to be a roller coaster ride of fun, frolic, romance and humour. Promotions have been in full swing all week and we caught Neelum Muneer, the leading lady, at a radio station sporting a customized Wrong No 2 tee shirt. Looking great as always, Neelum says the film will deliver on its claims.
