With drama serial Pyare Afzal and blockbuster play Khaani to her credit, actress Sana Javed can be currently seen in Anjum Shahzad’s romantic comedy, Romeo Weds Heer, alongside Feroze Khan. While Sana essayed a strong headed and bold character in Khaani, in the on-going play she’s portraying the character of Heer, who is a fun yet strong-willed girl. She is also gearing up for an upcoming TV play that will feature Mikaal Zulfiqar in a key role.

Beauty regime

"I don’t really have a specific skin care regime but there is one thing that I swear by and that is to make sure I remove my makeup before going to bed," shared Sana Javed.

It’s a well-known fact that sleeping in your makeup is a beauty faux pas. Ask any aesthetician, dermatologist or even makeup artist and they’d tell you that a night-time skin routine is essential for a flawless complexion. "No one should ever go to bed with makeup on. I use a light face cleanser to wash my face and then I make sure to moisturize," she said, adding that the secret to her smooth skin is definitely moisturizing. "Get yourself a good moisturizer that suits your skin type and keep your skin hydrated. Drink lots of water and eat healthy."

A trend that I love…

"Actually there are two that are my all-time favourite beauty trends. I love highlighters and a perfect winged eyeliner."

A trend that is a big NO…

"That has to be smokey eyes with red lips. I just hate it and I don’t think I would ever try that look."

My makeup essentials

"To be honest, I don’t like putting on layers of makeup on my face. However, if I really have to, I only use a little blush and some lip gloss to get that natural youthful glow. In fact, my makeup bag has pretty much the same beauty products. Apart from a blush and a lip gloss, you will find a perfume, deodorant, hand sanitizer and a hand cream (which is very essential) in my makeup bag."

Go-to holiday look…

"That totally depends on the weather of the particular place I’m going to and anything I’m comfortable in."

Biggest beauty indulgence…

"Though I’m not very big on wearing too much makeup, fancy packaging of any beauty product attracts me a lot. If it looks good, I’ll get it. I have almost every brand including YSL, Chanel, Dior, Huda Beauty, NARS and the list goes on and on."

Beauty products I can’t live without…

"A highlighter, bronzer, blush and a good mascara. And yes a lip gloss to keep my lips moisturized."

My all time favourites

"When it comes to cosmetic brands, my top favourites are YSL, Chanel, Dior, NARS and Tarte. Other than beauty products, I’m obsessed with perfumes and hence have a huge collection. However, if I had to pick my top two perfumes, they would be Le Parfum by Elie Saab and Mademoiselle by Chanel."

"I would just advise you to stay as true and natural to your skin as possible and invest in good quality makeup products."
