FLASH YOUR STYLE

This past week saw the star studded premiere of the much awaited Laal Kabootar in Karachi and Lahore,

followed by its worldwide release in partnership with Geo on Friday, March 22, 2019. The evening was a well-attended affair where many celebrities such as Sanam Saeed, Adnan Malik, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Bilal Ashraf, Sarwat Gilani, Sheheryar Munawar, Osman Khalid Butt and others came together to show their support for each other. Some of the cast members spotted at the premiere included Mansha Pasha, Ahmed Ali Akbar and Ali Kazmi along with director Kamal Khan. Instep gives you a lowdown.

Ahmed Ali Akbar and Mansha Pasha

The lead characters of Laal Kabootar, Ahmed Ali Akbar and Mansha Pasha, glammed up for the Karachi premiere. Mansha Pasha, who essays the role of Aliya Malik, a strong-headed girl in the film, looked chic in a black and white sari by Zaheer Abbas. Ahmed Ali Akbar, on the other hand, went with an all white kurta shalwar and white waist coat.

Jibran Nasir

Activist Jibran Nasir, who was also spotted at the star studded premiere in Lahore, came to support his friend Mansha Pasha. He looked quite graceful in a traditional charcoal grey kurta shalwar which he paired with a black waist coast.

Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman

Leading pair of the upcoming film Heer Maan Ja, which is scheduled to release on Eid-ul-Azha this year, turned up at the film’s Karachi premiere to support their fellow artists. Both Hareem and Ali sported simple yet casual western outfits. It is always great to see actors showing up at film premieres and supporting Pakistani cinema that still has a long way to go.

Kamal Khan and Zoe Viccaji

The award-winning music video director Kamal Khan, who has made his cinematic debut with Laal Kabootar, a Karachi-based crime drama, was accompanied by his wife, singer Zoe Viccaji at the Karachi premiere. The singer wore a deep red Sania Maskatiya gown and looked absolutely stunning, while Kamal opted for blue suit and paired it with a white shirt and no tie.
