With hectic routines, juggling between travel and on-the-go lifestyles, we often wonder how our celebrities manage to look gorgeous and maintain healthy skin. As soon as any photo of a star pops up on social media we start obsessing over how radiant their skin looks. While many resort to desi remedies like applying organic coconut oil or aloe vera gel, there are models and actresses who use different masks and beauty creams to keep their skin radiant.

Poster child for top brands like Maheen Khan’s Gulabo, Areeba Habib made an acting debut last year with drama serial Koi Chand Rakh that concluded recently and featured Imran Abbas, Ayeza Khan and Muneeb Butt in lead roles.

Instep got in touch with Areeba for some insight to her beauty rituals…

Skin care regime

"I don’t have a complicated skin care routine, however, I am very particular about taking extra care of my skin," shared Areeba. "We work in a field where we are exposed to pollution, stress and of course lots of makeup, so it is essential to keep our skin fresh and hydrated. As far as my beauty regime is concerned, no matter how tired I am, I make sure to remove my makeup before I go to bed. Then I wash my face and apply a night cream. These days I’m using Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask by The Body Shop. It works wonders and keeps my skin fresh and glowing. Also, I’m not a makeup junkie so I try to avoid lots of makeup when I’m not in front of the camera or on the ramp. My makeup includes lip gloss, blush-on and a good sunscreen."

Beauty trends

"One trend that is a big no for me and I might never go for is the winged eyeliner. I think it doesn’t look good on me and that is mainly why I don’t like this trend. As for a beauty trend that I love, to be honest there isn’t any specific one as so many trends come and go. But these days I love gelled back hair and nude makeup."

My all-time favourites

"I have a few favourite perfumes and they all are by Tom Ford, so I won’t name any particular one. Quite recently I used Oud by Dolce & Gabbana which I really liked but nothing beats Tom Ford. As for beauty products, I am obsessed with NARS and Chanel. You will find loads of products by both the brands in my bag."

My holiday look…

"Well, my go-to holiday look is really simple. When on a holiday I prefer tying my hair into a messy bun or go for a half pony. In fact, I also like the gelled back bun. And as I mentioned earlier I’m not a big fan of makeup so I try to stay away from applying cosmetics like foundation, highlighter, etc. when on a break."

A beauty product I can’t live without…

"I am using this product by Chanel which seems like a foundation and is just amazing. It is called UV Essentiel with SPF 50. I love it and even apply it in front of the camera."

One tip that I have learnt…

"One tip that has stuck with me is that if you want your makeup to last longer and stay fresh, spritz some rose water on your face before applying makeup. Let it dry and then apply your foundation and the rest of your makeup. I literally swear by this tip."

My makeup bag is full of…

"It is full of different kinds of blush-ons and lip tints.  My absolute favourites these days is the rose-tinted lip and cheek stain by Benefit and NARS blush on called Orgasm."
