Parey Hut Love wrap-up party

This past one week was all about the wrap-up party for Asim Raza’s upcoming film, Parey Hut Love, scheduled to release on Eid ul Azha, next year. While there are more than eight months to its release, director and producer Asim Raza felt it was a good idea to officially announce the cast and crew and give the public a feeler of what it was all about. The event, held at an old colonial house in Karachi - which also serves as one of the sets in the film - hosted the main cast including Sheheryar Munawar, Maya Ali, Zara Noor Abbas, Ahmed Ali Butt, Parishae James, Frieha Altaf, Jimmy Khan, Rachel Viccaji and Mahira Khan, who has a small but significant role in the film. Most of the ladies turned up in their film wardrobe, mostly by Umar Sayeed, and gave major inspiration for the ongoing wedding season. Let’s take a look.

Mahira Khan

Mahira Khan looked as lovely as ever in long, crushed silk shirt and wide leg Dhaka pajama by Misha Lakhani. Ivory was the colour of the day and she accessorized with traditional neck pieces, large balas by Amrapali and a hand embroidered pouch. The colour in her look came from the rose buds in her hair.

Maya Ali

Maya Ali took the contemporary route and wore a halter neck, structured tunic and straight, sheer embellished trousers. She looked young and lovely in her loosely blown out hair and natural makeup. Maya hardly wore any jewellery and picked up the ivory outfit with high heeled silver sandals.

Zara Noor Abbas

Wearing an ankle grazing flared kalidaar, Zara Noor wore one of her film outfits that appeared perfect for a wedding, especially a dance number. Her outfit had some colour by way of garnet, which popped up in her makeup too. It was a fun, albeit traditional number.

Parishae James and Frieha Altaf

Parishae James, who’ll be making her film debut opposite Jimmy Khan in PHL, wore a sleeveless flared angrakha in gold and ivory. Again, it was traditional yet youthful. Frieha Altaf, on the other hand, wore a black laacha kurta with embroidered khussas. We’re intrigued to see what her character is in the film!
