There were some serious style statements made around the globe this week and we’ve been watching. From Priyanka Chopra’s bridal shower dress, the new Celine’s first red carpet moment and Mahira Khan in San Francisco for the SKMH fundraiser, there were style statements made everywhere. This week’s best dressed are as follows.

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka wore a beautiful Marchesa dress with ostrich feathers on the skirt and a delicate bow on the back. The actress accessorized with a pair of nude Louboutin court shoes, a diamond necklace and later added a white coat to the look as she exited the party. We loved the all-white with a dash of feminine, flirty flair that the dress had. It was a bridal shower look that has gotten us even more excited for her wedding dress.

Karisma Kapoor

Kapoor was seen in a stunning hand painted yellow Sabyasachi sari paired with a matching long sleeve blouse. When your look is covered in head to toe print, it is always smart to belt it up, and that’s what she managed with her crème coloured belt. A pair of dainty studs, nude make up and poker straight hair rounded out her look.

Shilpa Shetty

Shetty has been making one style statement after the other during her film promotions. Here she’s seen in a unique Punit Balana printed sari, teamed with a matching peplum jacket blouse and a pair of jhumkas to stay on the eastern side of the style quotient. A gold cocktail ring finished off her look.

Dakota Johnson

Johnson’s outfit was quite the conversation starter and room divider as she gave the controversial new Celine by Hedi Slimane its first red carpet moment. Fashion critics were, for the most part, aligned in their disdain for the new collection but this dress had people rethinking their decision to write off the new Celine. We liked it because it was a statement, flattering on her and was styled well. It may not be the old Celine but one must accept it as Slimane’s now.

Mahira Khan

Khan is quite the supporter of Menahel Mehreen’s designs as theirs was one of the few outfits she wore at the Cannes as well. For the Shaukat Khanum fund raising charity gala in San Francisco, she again chose a traditional number from the relatively low-profile designers. The mehndi green colour is one that people generally steer away from but Khan did justice to it.
