Major fashion weeks and big banner Pakistani film releases may be out of the way for now but luckily, the fashion and entertainment sector stays afloat with enough action to keep fans excited. Making waves over the weekend was The Donkey King, now established as Pakistan’s most well-received animated film. Drama serial Deedan, starring Sanam Saeed and Mohib Mirza in lead roles, started airing and took cameras - usually limited to easy, urban locations - to gorgeous Hunza. And October, which is regarded globally as Breast Cancer Awareness Month had its moments in Pakistan, as SKMH brand ambassadors Mahira Khan and Maya Ali raised awareness for the cause.

 

John Rambo and Sahiba

It’s been great to see Afzal Khan (better known as John Rambo) return to the big screen as the lovable donkey in Aziz Jindani’s The Donkey King. He was the best man for the role in the feature, which has created waves for being the first Pakistani animated film that targets adults as well as children.

 

Sanam Saeed and Mohib Mirza

Sanam Saeed is an artiste we have incredible respect for; everything she does is significant and well thought out, including her choice of clothing (Generation here) and the subject - women’s rights – she and Mohib are supporting in the newly aired drama serial, Deedan.

 

Maya Ali

Maya Ali looked lovely in this pink and red Nomi Ansari shalwar kameez, colour-coordinated with the cause. "I was honoured to be a part of this great cause (breast cancer awareness) once again for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital," she wrote on her Instagram page.
