Monochrome is not a new trend but every so often a set of imposing black and white outfits show up on our timelines and we’re reminded of how keeping the colour palette limited makes for such classic looks. Here are this week’s favourite monochromatic looks.
Momal Sheikh
Momal Sheikh wore a white top with a choker neck to the Esfir exhibition in Karachi. Keeping in line with her updated style, she kept it minimal and classy by not adding colour to the look. We’re definite fans of her new style.
Meghan Markle
Creating yet another viral look, Meghan Markle wore a black dress with long, sheer sleeves and a slit up the front of the skirt. Givenchy designed the outfit, the same designer she trusted with her wedding dress. She polished off the look with her go-to black pumps by Aquazzura, and her hair in a sleek straight style.
Mehwish Hayat
Mehwish Hayat wore black pants and a sleeveless top to the Lords Cricket Ground in London. A simple and fuss-free look on the actress and one that we appreciate because it’s a departure from her more desi-oriented red carpet outings.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan looked every bit the glam actress that she is wearing a white off shoulder jumpsuit featuring belts that amplified her waist line. Her beauty look was a dark lip and beachy waves that added finishing touches to her look. We liked the effortless, yet put together vibe she gives off in this outfit.
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone wore a sheer white shirt with balloon sleeves and a black high waist leather pant to the GQ Awards. We do like the combination of leather and the sheerness of the top but a lighter lip colour and going sans accessories may have worked for this look better. Red lipstick and leather together can get tricky.
