This past one week was all about Pakistan’s 71st Independence Day, which was celebrated with a little more enthusiasm than usual. While the entire country was painted white and green, decorated with illuminations and the national flag waving from every possible building, some of our favourite celebs and artists showed their patriotic sides by indulging in various activities.

Mehwish Hayat

The leading lady of Load Wedding, who was in Faisalabad for the promotions of her upcoming film, chose to wear green and white on Independence Day. The actor also shared her picture on social media and captioned it, "On this Independence Day let’s resolve to make this nation of ours great again and fulfil the vision that the Quaid had for Pakistan. PAKISTAN ZINDABAD!"

 

Kubra Khan

The British-Pakistani actor, who is busy with the promotions of her upcoming movie Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, opted for Boheme by Kanwal’s all-white ensemble with hints of red and green that exuded the spirit of patriotism. Kubra Khan also shared a picture with the flag in her hand and wrote, "Yaum e Azaadi Mubarak! Naya Pakistan."

 

Ayesha Omar

Actor and host Ayesha Omar celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with Byco Pakistan, to make Pakistan green again. She wore a symbolic white and green shalwar kurta by Sana Safinaz at the tree plantation drive where she played her part by planting a moringa tree for a greener Pakistan.
