Teefa in Trouble releases worldwide

The much-awaited Ali Zafar and Maya Ali-starrer Teefa in Trouble premiered at a star-studded event in Karachi on Thursday, followed by its worldwide release on Friday, July 20.

Some of the cast members spotted at the premiere included Ali Zafar, Maya Ali, Jawed Shiekh, Asma Abbas, Mehmood Aslam and Faisal Qureshi along with director Ahsan Rahim, who has made his cinematic debut with Teefa in Trouble.

Besides the cast, Humayun Saeed, Hania Amir, Feroze Khan, Sheheryar Munawar and Wajahat Rauf were also in attendance.

Produced by Ali Zafar’s Lightingale Productions, Teefa in Trouble is the first Pakistani film to have partnered with a leading Bollywood film banner, Yash Raj Films (YRF) for its international distribution.

 

Load Wedding trailer launched

The past week saw the trailer launch of Load Wedding that features Mehwish Hayat and Fahad Mustafa in pivotal roles. The fascinating and vibrant trailer starts off by showing a simple guy Raja (essayed by Fahad) who is in love with Meeru (Mehwish), a polio worker. While the trailer highlights the beauty of Punjab, it also focuses on the stigmas attached to weddings in our stereotypical society.

The trailer launch was followed by a meet and greet session with Load Wedding’s cast including the director duo Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza – who have Na Maloom Afraad (NMA), Actor in Law and NMA 2 to their credit – and actors Fahad Mustafa, Mehwish Hayat and Samina Ahmed.

Moreover, the social satire, which is produced by Filmwala Pictures, has recently collaborated with Zee Studios International for the film’s international release. Load Wedding is scheduled to release on Eid ul Azha in Pakistan and worldwide including USA, Canada, UK, Singapore, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, several Middle Eastern countries and Mauritius.
