One of country’s most prestigious award ceremonies, the 17th edition of Lux Style Awards recently took place in Lahore with multiple stars bringing glamour to the red carpet. From glittery eyes to pretty lip shades, to glossy hairdos and waves, some of the celebrities outshined others with their dazzling hair and makeup moments. One of the common beauty trends observed at the LSAs was beach waves and they looked great on almost all of the celebs who opted for them.

Looking to share some of the new techniques in hair and makeup, Instep got hold of Sara Shah, salon director at Nabila, to talk about the looks that she conjured up for some of the stars. Here is a little something about seven of them…

Sadaf Kanwal

Beach waves, Hollywood waves and retro beach waves are the most adored beauty hair trends these days. The best part about them is that they look flattering on any hair length. About Sadaf’s look for the event, Sara shares, "For the red carpet, Sadaf was given a chic yet cool look with undone beach waves on a lob. Her makeup was kept fresh and dewy, while her lips were stained with poppy pink."

Aamina Sheikh

According to Sara, Aamina sparkled in a Nabila trend. The emphasis was on her eyes; a swish of glimmering shadow, especially in the inner corner of eyes, not only illuminated them but also added depth and dimension.

"For Aamina’s look we opted for subtle smoky makeup with hints of silver in the inner corner of her eyes and finished off her look with pale pink lips," she said. "Her hair was left loose with beach waves and boho side braids."

Anam Malik

Metallic shades are still shining bright and that is the look that was conjured for model Anam Malik for the Lux Style Awards 2018.

"We went for a very natural look for her and opted for bronze eyes and light lips," explained Sara. In an attempt to go for a contemporary hairdo instead of a typical hairstyle, Sara coiffured a slick back bubble ponytail that looked edgy yet chic.

Iqra Aziz

One of the most talented new age actors, the young Iqra Aziz wore a white ruffled gown and was given a classy and poised look. "For Iqra we went with exaggerated winged liner and beautiful luscious hair. Her soft pink lips complemented her white outfit really well," Sara informed.

Fahmeen Ansari

Clad in a red gown Fahmeen Ansari looked ravishing at the ceremony. "Keeping Fahmeen’s outfit in mind, we gave her fiery red lips to complement it, pairing it with ombré tousled face contouring waves," Sara elaborated the idea behind the model’s look.

Ainy Jaffri

Nominated in the Best Actress - Film category for Balu Mahi, Ainy chose an all-black sequined outfit for the night. Describing her look, Sara said, "Ainy looked like a true super star with classic cat eye-liner and sultry ruby red lips along with side-swept retro waves, cascading around her neck."

Zara Abid

A natural-looking, sun kissed glow is one trend that is all the rage these days. "Zara Abid was given the Zero-Caramel sun kissed skin look which was balanced out with slick back hair that not only looked effortlessly chic but went well with her beautiful white dress," Sara shared the thought behind Best Model nominee, Zara’s look.
