Toni & Guy South held a hair trends show in Karachi, where the idea was to bring international trends to Pakistan and showcase localized versions. It drew out Karachi’s well-heeled and fashion forward as well as stars Adnan Malik, Aamina Sheikh and Sanam Saeed, who came out to promote their upcoming film Cake. Here’s a roundup of the looks that stood out the most on the night.

Aamina Sheikh

We like the theory behind Aamina’s outfit - the leather jacket juxtaposed with the red lace top offers an interesting mix. However, the bottom of her outfit desperately needs a break from the black on black. A pair of dark denim boot cut jeans and boots would have served the actress well but the sleek hair looks great!

Sanam Saeed

Sanam’s look is definitely a classy one with some standout accessories. While she’s played it safe with a button down white shirt and rust coloured culottes, her necklace and clutch are what is drawing our attention. We would have, however, liked to have seen that shirt either fully tucked in or half tucked in and half out versus the passé knot.

Amal Qadri

Amal always has fun with her looks. For the event, she casually flung a blazer over one shoulder on a windy Karachi night. Her red bag and boots also add another dimension of playful experimentation with the look. Top marks to her sartorial choices and that grey hair doesn’t hurt either!

Frieha Altaf

We can always count on Frieha to put together a look! To the event, she wore a structured black top that flatters her in all the right places. Pairing it with printed pants and an equally statement-making Kate Spade bag, she definitely commands attention with this ensemble.

Fayezah Ansari

Fayezah walked the ramp as a showstopper at the Toni&Guy event. Although we’re seeing the model after a while it’s good to see that she hasn’t lost her spunk! Her messy hair and metallic outfit makes for a streetstyle look that we can expect to see anywhere on the international fashion circuit.
