When it came to fashionable appearances this week, there was one event that stood out from the rest. The Miss Veet 2017 finale had many celebrities come out to grace the red carpet - from the judges Aamina Sheikh and Hareem Farooq to the Veet brand ambassador, Mahira Khan. Areeba Habib, a former Miss Veet model also made an appearance along with other prominent names from the industry.
Amna Ilyas
Amna Ilyas is one of those down to earth models with a true diva’s sense of style. With her long lean limbs and dusky skin colour, it’s hard for her to ever look less than flawless. To this red carpet, she wore a black velvet top and wide trousers along with a very on trend combination of heels and socks. However, this look could have easily receded into the background had it not been for her perfect accessorizing. Metallic pops with her necklace, rings and bracelets made for the ideal red carpet look!
Aamina Sheikh
This was not one of our favourite looks of the night, nor our favourite on Aamina. Hussain Rehar’s outfit on her could have been a decent blazer dress had it not been for the waist cut outs and hanging sleeve threads. It had a mish-mash of aesthetics along with a predictable choice of shoes – overall, Aamina’s look left a lot to be desired.
Hareem Farooq
One of the judges of the night, Hareem Farooq is looking pretty great these days. She wore a Muse Luxe dress to the red carpet with curly locks and red lips. Yes, this was a pretty look but was it a fashionable or memorable one? No. We wish she’d tied up her hair in a high ponytail and showed off those cheek bones and maybe even worn a mid length dress.
Ainy Jaffri
London based Ainy chose a peach coloured Shehla Chatoor outfit for this red carpet. A pretty, safe outfit and a veritable signature of the talented designer but one that didn’t do justice to the actor with its colour. We would have preferred to see her in a brighter ensemble with some risks being taken.
Mahira Khan
We saved the best for the last: Mahira Khan in her Kristina Fidelskaya outfit. A well-constructed black top with a full length skirt (with a sassy slit at the back) was a simple look but ticked all the right boxes for a strong red carpet appearance. Her white Dior shoes completed the look and set the actor right on top of our best dressed list for the night.
