As Milan Fashion Week came to a close last weekend, the show schedule was packed with memorable runway moments especially the grand supermodel reunion at Versace. Outside the shows, the streets were brimming with their own sartorial excellence. From a certain bag that’s been seen on every other street style star to eye-popping shades, we picked our three favourite trends spotted outside MFW.

Fanny pack

It’s 2017 and fanny packs are hot again, brought to the fore through models of the moment Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. Luxury fashion brands like Gucci and Louis Vuitton followed suit and showed them on the ramp. For the Alexander Wang party girl, a fanny pack is the perfect “hands free” purse and we agree! If MFW was any standard to go by, the bag is still very much omnipresent.

Millennial Pink

We’ve been writing about this for a while so we get that this color is not exactly news but we’re still seeing it dominating the runways and the style stars wearing it. They may not give up on blush and bubblegum tones yet but their use of out-of-the-box silhouettes is what keeps us interested. The designers keep going pink and the fashion pack keeps wearing it!

Ankle boot

The ankle boot makes a return every time the weather gets cooler because it’s one trend that is going nowhere; this time what’s really working is the cropped pants and ankle boots combination. The street stylers outside MFW had them in velvet, golden, black and various different colours and textures.
