Flash Your Style

A while ago, film premiere(s) or trailer launches did not have the most fashion forward red carpets. Music and film had a visibly stronger symbiotic connection than fashion and the latter. The new crop of stylists in the country, however, now ensure that every celebrity has their own glam squad to put their best fashionable foot forward. We round up the looks from Yalghaar’s trailer launch, which took place earlier this week.

Ayesha Omar

Not enough can be said about the veritable breath of fresh air white ensembles provide in the summer. Styled by Haiya Bokhari, Ayesha Omer wore an old school glam’ white sari by Studio S with a colour injection in the pleats that brought a certain individuality and youth to the entire look. We love the curled hair to one side and minimal accessorizing with a clutch by Farah Talib Aziz and earrings by Marukh Akuly.

Armeena Khan

Armeena Khan has a gorgeous face and that classic beauty look by Natasha of Natasha Salon she carried is a winner: thick winged eye liner, red lips and soft curls. The neckline on her top by Areeba Asif, however isn’t the most flattering as it cuts at her neckline making her torso appear smaller. In terms of the colour combination, we’ve always loved the monochrome look!

Aleeza Nasser

Aleeze Nasser is a Dubai-based Pakistani film actress who will be making her debut in Yalghaar. Another import actor and beauty like Khan, Nasser comes armed with training from a film school. However, we feel she could use some direction with red carpet style as she just seems to be lost in the dress she’s wearing. The bow tie and can-can net paired together is just not a passable look and it doesn’t seem cohesive in the slightest.

Bilal Ashraf

Wearing a formal blazer and sneakers is a tricky look but an extremely assured one. It says you are wearing the blazer not because you have to but because you want to and are completely comfortable doing so! To keep the look put together, Ashraf ensured his pants and jacket were well fitted so as to not look sloppy. We do wish he had left his blazer buttons open for a more effortless look and worn a thinner tie.
