From film promotions to boutique and atelier openings, this past week was quite busy
Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan has just made history in Raees and she looked every bit Shah Rukh Khan’s leading lady when promoting the film in Dubai last weekend. She may not have been able to promote it with him but the ‘together yet apart’ situation actually added to the film’s mystique. The actress looked drop dead gorgeous in an all white Lavish Alice ensemble and metallic stilettos. We’re hardly surprised though; Mahira has impeccable style and almost never makes any mistakes with her sartorial choices.
Atif Aslam
Aside from emerging at a recent Ali Sethi gig, Atif Aslam, currently winning hearts with his new ballad, ‘Pehli Dafa’ had Lahore singing along to his melodies at the launch of a new TVC by Pepsi, which is sung by Aslam. The event, held at the Royal Palm, not only saw Atif performing but was also attended by several notable names such as Fawad Khan, Ahmed Ali Butt, Mekaal Hasan, Rubya Chaudhry, Ayesha and several others.
Farah Talib Aziz
Farah Talib Aziz is one of the few designer labels in Pakistan that has developed a distinct sense of style: pink, pretty and feminine. Therefore, it makes sense that their new boutique should emanate the same style aesthetic as well. The famous mother daughter duo, Farah Talib Aziz and her daughter Maliha Aziz opened their first ever luxury prêt boutique in Karachi on E street this week. The store opening was well attended by fashionistas, bloggers, and journos alike. Actress Momal Sheikh also made an appearance.
Sadaf Kanwal
There is usually a lot of pressure on stars to dress and look just right for their film promotions but it doesn’t seem as though Sadaf Kanwal lets it frazzle her. Also, considering that Balu Mahi is Kanwal’s big film debut, she’s looking as cool as a cucumber in this unstructured one shoulder ensemble. Perhaps being a stylish supermodel helps in knowing what to wear and when.
Tariq Amin and Sharmila Faruqi
The opening of Deepak Perwani’s new bridal atelier brought the fashion fraternity together over an evening of cocktails and fashion presentations. Spotted in the glamourous crowd was Tariq Amin, who was responsible for styling the models, and Sharmila Faruqi, who made sure to bring her stylish foot forward.
