On a trip to China a couple of years ago what struck me immediately, while walking around, was how most women there had gorgeous skin and hair. Clear, glowing complexions that showed balance between diet and skincare as well as lustrous hair that seemed to defy frizz. Needless to say I was envious. Here’s the thing though: Korean women trump all others. They’re known world over for their unblemished skin (which also makes it difficult to actually tell their age) and healthy, shiny hair that they simply wake up to every morning. Which is why all over the world, Korean beauty products have acquired cult status. Here’s our pick of three that we simply can’t wait to get our hands on.
Sheet Masks
Sheet masks might give the appearance of being more Halloween appropriate than as part of a skin-care regime but these babies definitely work (this statement comes from personal experience). Available to combat a variety of skin issues ranging from dullness toCleansing Sticks
We’ve seen cleansers and make-up removers in liquid, cream, oil or even mousse form but who’s ever seen a cleanser in stick form before? If just for novelty factor of owning and using one, we’re thoroughly intrigued by the idea. The stick cleanser is oil based and when applied on the face and massaged with finger tips, the formulation melts due to body heat and turns into a cleansing oil. It might sound like a gimmick but the millions of online reviews tell a different story. It’s available in a variety of brands and the best part is you can keep it on you while traveling!Lip Powders
Say what?! Powder for lips that turns into a long lasting lip tint? Don’t ask about the science behind it but the product comes in a regular enough looking tube that contains the pigment in powder form with an application brush. When applied to the lips the powder turns glossy and hydrating from body heat, before melting into your lips and drying matte. The formula is touted to literally last all day long, is impossible to budge and promises uniform wear-off. If you’re wondering what uniform wear-off means it’s referring to how lip products tend to fade quickly from the centre of your lips while leaving an ugly outline; lip powders don’t do that! Considering the massive lipstick junkie that I am, I certainly can’t wait to try a powder lip stain. How about you?
