We’re all too used to seeing femme fatales on the red carpet; even the front rows at fashion week are buzzing with beautiful ladies, dressed to the nines in their high heels and haute styles
Men at Work
We’re all too used to seeing femme fatales on the red carpet; even the front rows at fashion week are buzzing with beautiful ladies, dressed to the nines in their high heels and haute styles. But fashion week is an arena for the men to preen as proudly as the women. Here are a few, spotted at the recently held PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week, who take their work as sartorially as seriously!
Jahan e Khalid
Model
Jahan e Khalid has no trouble sporting this vibrant shirt and jacket from Nomi Ansari’s latest collection, Joyride. The print channels the designer’s love for kitsch as well as colour and flaunts the sugar skulls iconic of the Day of the Dead. We love how even the shoes have been trademarked. Full marks to the models for looking sophisticated despite the playful print.
Mohsin Ali
Designer at Sana Safinaz
Mohsin Ali, one of the in-house designers at Sana Safinaz, loves attention and he gets a lot of it because of his eclectic personal style. These days he’s wearing a topknot along with the most funky, printed suits. This one is particularly summery and we love the white platform sneakers from the Sana Safinaz Sugar Rush collection that he’s enjoying.Umar Khan
Graphic Artist
Umar Khan is a recent and sensational addition to the fashion week look book; he and his pug named Django are quite the hit on the red carpet. Though Umar has been applauded for his personal style, it’s his accessory - the pug - that makes him a stand out success. We saw them scurrying around that football field of a catwalk, dressed alike in similar threads & fully approve of the man-meets-Paris-Hilton feel.Yousaf Shahbaz
Architect at STRATA
Yousaf Shahbaz is the new man about town who enjoys showing off a variety of different looks at fashion week. We loved this Day One look, in which he wore a distressed Sania Maskatiya sweatshirt with iconic Alice in Wonderland phrases emblazoned on it. He wore it with a Bareeze Man kurta (loved the extended cuffs) & Balenciaga trousers. We’re not sure about the slippers…Ali Xeeshan
Designer
He’s quite a character and his flamboyant, over-the-top looks never let him down. Ali Xeeshan was seen in what can best be described as an Arab Knight in black armour. We can’t get over the bow tie, the zipper studs and the rosary that he’s carrying in his hands. Love him or hate him, you can never ignore Ali Xeeshan and his theatrics.
