From the streets of New York to the wedding marquees in Karachi, Instep rounds up this week’s best sartorial choices
Zara Ayub in Karachi
Stylist Zara Ayub rarely ever gets it wrong. Combine her off-beat style with Pakistan’s most irreverent designer, Ali Xeeshan’s over the top aesthetic and the result is an embellished crop top and flared pants set that stole the show at a local wedding.
Sara Shahid and Jenny Wu at Veranda Bistro
When hair stylist Jenny Wu moved from Lahore to Canada the entire city let out a collective sigh of disappointment. Recently though we spotted Wu with couturier Sara Shahid at a brunch, where both ladies brought their style A-game. However, it was Shahid’s asymmetrical white button down and khaki skinnies that stole the show.
Khadija Shah in Karachi
Lahore’s style savants all flew to Karachi for a wedding recently and definitely upped the bling factor in the understated city. Khadija Shah, the young doyenne of bridal couture wore a taupe bejeweled creation that caught our attention. Shah’s pearl and diamond accessories and neutral make-up get a big thumbs up.
Nasiba Adilova in New York
Instagram style star and co-founder of maternity website The Tot, Adilova never disappoints. She paired a statement coat lined with multi-coloured fur with black sneakers (the new trend replacing white sneakers) and glasses for a day of running around during New York Fashion Week. We’d totally steal her coat if we could!
Sanam Saeed at the Amir Adnan studio
The Bachaana heroine was recently spotted at the Amir Adnan studio in Karachi, where she selected several ethnic looks for the film’s promotions. We love this embroidered short waistcoat by Huma Adnan for her brand FnkAsia and Sanam carries it extremely well.
