From premieres to PSL, it’s been a star studded week locally and internationally. With winter giving way to spring, at least in the sub-continent, wardrobes are tweaked to inject vibrancy and youthfulness to mimic the seasonal shift. We round up the style stars that hit all the right notes and if there’s one thing to take away this week, it’s that blue is the IT colour to be sporting this season. Let’s dig in!

Who: Gigi Hadid

Where: Zoolander 2’s NY premiere

Hadid and a bevy of A-list models took to the red carpet at Zoolander 2’s New York premiere that also doubled as a fashion show. Hadid struck Blue Steel’s (Ben Stiller) signature Magnum pose in a glittering Marc Jacob gown that had the fashion fraternity swooning. Her blonde locks were piled on top of her head in an effortlessly tousled up-do embellished with a hair brooch and paired with smoky navy eyes and a nude lip. We just can’t get over how glamorous the newest VS Angel looked.

Who: Frieha Altaf

Where: PSL Opening Ceremony, Dubai

PR maven Frieha Altaf consistently proves that age is but a number when it comes to style. The mother of two stepped out in a full length Karen Millen maxi at the star studded launch ceremony of the Pakistan Super League being hosted in Dubai. Her minimalistic look was pulled together with chunky black platforms and a matching shoulder bag that made the case for easy, breezy style in the sweltering Arab Emirates.

Who: Fawad Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt

Where: Kapoor & Sons Trailer Launch, Mumbai

If there was ever any doubt about the success of cerulean this season the three stars of Kapoor & Sons laid them to rest. In what appears to be concerted colour coordination our very own Fawad Khan, along with his two co-stars Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, sported shades of blue at the trailer launch of their latest project. Bhatt donned a mini from Prabal Gurung’s 2016 resort collection while Khan lived up to his dapper image in navy separates. Malhotra opted for a more casual approach pairing denim with a white button down and a printed sports jacket.

Who: Amina Sheikh

Where: PSL, Dubai

Thespian, model and mommy Amina Sheikh stepped out in a cool, white StyleBerri by Kiran Malik ensemble during one of the PSL matches in Dubai. The award winning actor donned an embellished white shirt which boasted of a sheer panel, paired with light distressed skinny jeans and shoe of the moment: white sneakers. We loved her oversized round frames and tied tresses that screamed summer chic.

 

Who: Attiya Noon

Where: Lahore

Interior designer extraordinaire Attiya Noon broke away the trending blues and whites this season to opt for a monochrome look in shades of beige. The Mahgul chaddar she wears has been inspired by the Noon Haveli in Sargodha and this particular piece was created to celebrate the Haveli’s centennial. Attiya’s embroidered Mahgul shawl was complimented by strappy, high heeled sandals in a similar colour palette and with minimal hair and makeup she let her outfit do the talking.
