Saeeda Mandviwalla is the face of Toni & Guy Hairdressing in Karachi. After starting her career at the London College of Fashion, the stylist moved to Pakistan and continued working in the beauty industry until she launched the first international Hair franchise in Southeast Asia, Essensuals, in 2004. This was then followed by the world’s largest purpose-built Toni & Guy salon in 2008 in Karachi. She is now the CEO and Creative Head of Toni & Guy, Pakistan.

Now that Fashion Pakistan Week has come to a close, it’s time for us to reflect on the beauty trends that were sent down the runway. While most of the make-up was standard bridal affair, the hairstyles, part of Toni & Guy’s hair show, undoubtedly stood out amongst the flurry of uninspiring beauty looks, lending the show an edgy, upbeat vibe. From slick braids to slept-in waves, there were enough hairdos to help you make a fierce statement this winter season. Instep steals top four looks from the runway and asks stylist Saeeda Mandviwalla how she managed to achieve them.

Strands of electric blue were twisted into the hair to give a diverse look. The hair inspiration behind this is that "there are no rules" and it incorporated elements of cowboy Indian apache.
The inspiration for this was the ’90s. An extreme side parting was created to add volume and an intricate tight scalp braid on the other half with teasing on the ends. Products needed to create the look were Label.m Sea Salt Spray for instant waves and beach curls and Label.m Extra Strong Mousse for lasting hold on the curls. It also contains the UV filter.

Hair inspiration for this look was ‘rich girl gone wild’. Key products used for this look are Label.m Curl Cream to prime the hair for perfectly formed curls and Label.m Extreme Hold Hairspray to hold the look for a flawless finish and yet make it easy to brush it out. This look had a fun element and we used hair accessories from Toni & Guy’s new range that just released in London, this September.
The inspiration for this look came from Dolce & Gabbana for 2016. A glamorous sparkle like glitz was created by using Label.m Extra Strong Gel and gold glitter that was added in the gel for a fast-drying, non-flaky shimmer. Label.m Professional Styling Wand was used to create the waves and Label.m Brunette Volumising Spray to give an edgy texture and the height for that dramatic effect.
