Trending…on the LSA Red Carpet

The Lux Style Awards coverage would be incomplete without an aerial view of the red carpet and while we weren’t too impressed with the overall look of the stars - we felt they played it too safe, almost everyone wore a gown and hardly anyone experimented with their look successfully - we managed to pull out a roster of our favourites.

Amna Babar Model

Amna Babar was a nominee and hot contender for the Best Model crown this year. She may have lost the trophy to Amna Ilyas but she managed to look every bit the winner in this Sana Safinaz gown that she carried with flair and ease. Black and red were haute favourites on the red carpet and Amna’s look was absolutely stand out!

Syra Shehroze Actor

The petite actress wore a Sania Maskatiya outfit to the ceremony and while the tunic was velvet - not exactly weather appropriate for Karachi’s endless summer - the deep wine-tone ensemble and the youthful silhouette was refreshing. It gave her glamour without adding to her age. We loved the flight of birds - quintessentially Sania - on the hem of the trouser. And the earrings from Sherezad Rahimtoola were spectacular.

Hamza Ali Abbasi Actor

Hamza Ali Abbasi looked debonair and dignified and every bit the eye candy that he is. He turned up in a very formal Humayun Alamgir suit that offered (thankfully) no theatrics even though the designer as well as the actor is infamous for them.

Sadaf Kanwal Model

Sadaf Kanwal was everyone’s favourite model of the evening and she looked like a million dollars in the perfectly constructed gown by Nomi Ansari with a radiant choker by Sherezad Rahimtoola. It’s no wonder that Sadaf picked up the award for Best Emerging Talent.

Farhan Saeed and Urwa Hocane
Singer/Actor

Farhan Saeed and Urwa Hocane look good together and that’s why their impact was amplified on the red carpet. Farhan wore a sharp, classic suit by Winner, Best Menswear, Ismail Farid suit whereas Urwa wore a Sana Safinaz gown in a quintessential SS print that was noticeable from a mile off.
