potify has unveiled a new feature that allows music enthusiasts to design and personalize their own playlist cover art, making sure their playlists are as visually striking as they are sonically pleasing.
Globally, Spotify users have curated over 8 billion playlists, reflecting every musical mood and significant life moment. With this new feature, users can now enhance their playlist cover art by adding text, choosing background colors and gradients, applying stickers, and uploading personal images to match their unique music tastes.
The feature, rolled out in beta over the past week, is now available to Spotify listeners in English across 65 markets. Fans can easily access the ‘Create Cover Art’ tool directly within the Spotify mobile app for any playlist they’ve created.
Here’s how it works:
Select a user-generated playlist that you created, or click to create a new one.
Tap the context menu (...); then tap “Create Cover Art” within the menu options. Users can do the same for any new playlist they design!
From there, listeners can add or update a variety of elements like text, images, backgrounds, and stickers.
Once finalized, the playlist will seamlessly update with the listener’s freshly designed cover art, making it ready to share with friends.
Each playlist cover should uniquely represent the creator, utilizing only original photos as the foundation for their design.
