It’s also the 12th time in Djokovic’s career that he’s won five or more titles in a season, a new men’s Open Era record
The battle for most titles this year came down to the last few weeks of the season for both tours, but at the end of the day it was the No. 1s — Novak Djokovic and Iga Swiatek — who came out on top.
By winning his seventh title of the year at the ATP Finals, Djokovic broke a tie with No. 2-ranked Carlos Alcaraz for most titles on the men’s tour this year. They both had six going into Turin.

And there’s more — Djokovic has now surpassed Jimmy Connors for most years in the Open Era winning five or more titles.
