French-American actor, Timothee Chalamet, at the age of just 27 years, and a few Oscar-nominated films to his credit, is the face of Chanel’s men fragrance, Bleu de Chanel. Endorsed by the likes of Anna Wintour, he is a terrific actor and a strong name in fashion who is constantly changing rules about what actors can carry on the red carpet.
Unlike predecessors, who have often chosen subdued and expected colours when walking the red carpet, Chalamet is anything but subdued.
Most might not be able to carry pink on the red carpet. For Chalamet, experimenting with colors and designs is an appealing process.
Seen at the red carpet of the London premiere of his upcoming film, Wonka, in which he plays the titular role, the actor turned heads in a berry-colored, head-to-toe velvet suit by Tom Ford and finished his look with dark brown leather boots and a chunky silver chain necklace.
This wasn’t the only occasion for the young actor to showcase his fashionable side.
For the premiere of his previous film, Little Women, he wore a wild magenta suit made by Stella McCartney, and carried in his fingers a keychain of the Eiffel Tower.
For Wonka’s Tokyo premiere, he opted for a lavender leather Prada jacket tucked into a pair of matching trousers.
Often called the actor of this generation, and compared to the ground breaking actor who came before him – Leonardo Di Caprio – his fashion choices continue to turn heads and we think they will continue to do so in the future.
