ith Lust Stories, the audience experienced a delicate telling of female sexuality. Well, sometimes delicate, as there has never been a man who can speak intelligently to that subject.

But as a fan of things that get to the point fast and end quickly, anthologies like Lust Stories 2 have their place. Plus the directors for this instalment were shuffled up from the lineup that Ghost Stories, Bombay Talkies and Lust Stories all had, and we saw a slightly newer approach to the subject of what can loosely be described as lust.

Made For Each Other

Neena Gupta is the wise old woman we all wish we had in our lives, who could tell us what really counts in life and what doesn’t. In the case of this story, she is the grandmother who forces her granddaughter to consider that chemistry is just as, if not more, important than shared interests and preferences.

The Mirror

Tillotoma Shome is overworked and lonely, and as it turns out, a little voyeuristic? Not the favorite out of the four, but points for making some solid points.

Sex With The Ex

And this is the actual favorite. A little ridiculous, thoroughly satisfying, and shot in this perfect, surreal manner, that doesn’t prepare you for the punchline. Nothing to do with lust, strictly, but lots to do with the stupidity of people in lust.

Tilchatta

Painful to sit through, simply because you probably don’t even have to imagine that the characters are echoes of people we might know, people we might have been ourselves. But just because something makes you uncomfortable, doesn’t mean it’s not good, and therefore, please do give this one watch to round up the set of stories and emotions.
