Some of the greatest players from the modern era including Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are not playing Wimbledon 2023, making Serbia's Novak Djokovic the favourite to win the championship. However, even without an injured Nadal and no participation from Roger Federer as a player, Wimbledon still attracted some of the biggest celebrities, who came out to watch and support a new league of players in their best garb. Instep shortlists some of the best images we came across.
Malala Yousafzai
Among the biggest names
attending Wimbledon matches was that of Malala Yousafzai, accompanied by husband Asser Malik. Sitting a row
before them was actor Phoebe Dynevor, who was joined by her boyfriend Cameron Fuller. They were attending a match between former world number one (and a favourite to take the title of champion) Novak Djokovic of Serbia against
Hubert Hurkacz of Poland in the fourth round of Men's
Singles during day seven at the All England Club in
London, England.
Sienna Miller and Cara Delevinge
Actor and model Cara Delevinge came out to watch hot favorite Novak Djokovic of Serbia, who was playing at Centre-Court. Accompanied by her partner, she joined regular Wimbledon attendee, the brilliant actor Sienna Miller.
Tom Hiddleston
Tom Hiddleston attended for a second day, this time with his mom Diana Patricia Hiddleston. The pair enjoyed a day at Centre Court, where Djokovic defeated Hurkacz, Alcaraz defeated Berrettini, Jabeur defeated Kvitova and Sabalenka defeated Alexandrova.
The Princess of Wales and the G.O.A.T
The Princess of Wales (and a future queen) was joined by Roger Federer (G.O.A.T) - who had the best seat in the house in the front row of the Royal box. The princess looked regal in her mint green blazer while Federer wore a cream suit, replete with a tie. The latter, an eighth time Wimbledon champion, was sitting between the princess and his wife, Mirka Federer. The group came out to watch a match between Elena Rybakina against American opponent Shelby Rogers with the former being the defending champion, having won Wimbledon last year.
