Summer ensembles are hard to put together, because unlike in winter, layering is out of the question, and sometimes minimal accessorizing isn’t the stark statement we want to make.
What any fashion showcase will tell you is how to work the season with minimum effort. And Summer ’23, we believe, is about doing more with less.
Black & White
To be fair, b&w never really go out of style, but we did learn that you can wear them in bold pattern for maximum impact, well-cut drapes for a luxe effect, and
tailored and structured for a fierce statement.
Ethnic accents
Being Pakistani, and with all the
incredible craft available to us since the day we were born, you’d think we might be a bit done with rustic embellishment and accessories, but honestly, they have their place and can give the most boring plain top more character.
The ‘80s called
And Madonna is very, very disappointed with this one retail brand that played fast and loose with ‘80s motifs. There is a very fine line between kitsch and trashy, and thus collection sadly took a turn to the latter. But if you want to be glass half full at all times, you can take away the following: neons, pouffy sleeves, and OTT shades are always fun, and there’s never a wrong time to wear them.
Juicy citrus tones
If the sun won’t stop beating down on us, we will simply fight back with fiery tones of our own. Take that, global warming. You might beat us at life, but we will always be more stylish.
Whimsical
accessories
Guys, if it’s an insect, bird, mammal, or
endangered species, feel free to wear its likeness and get ready to field omg where did you get those queries every time you go out.
