Today’s highlights: Talking Life, Adeel Hashmi in conversation with Javed Akhtar; Female Representation in Pakistani Cinema, featuring Sajal Ali, Samiya Mumtaz, Sania Saeed, Simi Raheal, and Imran Abbas, and moderated by Moneeza Hashmi; Sach Gup: A Tribute to Shoaib Hashmi, Nayyara Noor and Farooq Qaiser, by Navid Shahzad, Salima Hashmi, Irfan Khoosat, Salman Shahid, and Shehryar Zaidi, modertated by Arshad Mahmud; Dua-i-Ishq, a kathak performance by Adnan Jahangir; Three Centuries of Travel Writing by Muslim Women, featuring Siobhan Lambert-Hurley and Daniel Joseph Majchrowics, moderated by Dr Osama Siddique; and Spreading the Joy of Urdu across the World through Bilingual Content, with Dr Arfa Zehra, Zarminae Ansari, and Syed Shamoon Hashmi.
*UET Career Fair 2023 shall be held on February 22 at UET Auditorium. Start time: 9am.
The event is said to provide “an opportunity to students and employers to meet and establish professional relationships, and discuss potential jobs or internship opportunities.” Heads of a variety of industries are expected to attend the event.
*British Council launches Wolfie, a children’s book by Sonya Rehman, on February 25, at its Lahore library. Timings: 12pm-2pm.
