Missing boy found dead

GUJRANWALA: A 10-year-old boy, who was missing for the last three days, was found dead in a wheat store here.
Sufyan was missing for the last three days and his parents had informed the Aroop police about the incident. On Saturday, Sufyan’s body was found hanged with a ceiling fan in a wheat store. The police have registered a case.
FRAUD CASES: The Anti-Corruption Establishment director on Saturday directed to register cases against Local Government officers and contractors in a fraud case while he also ordered arrest of a former DSP traffic in a corruption case.
Hafizabad Administrator Yasir Bhatti gave an application to the ACE director against TO Finance Mumtaz Farooqi, Accounts Officer Maqbool Ahmed, Accountant Waqas Ahmed and contractors Rizwan and Munir and alleged that the said persons withdrew a heavy amount of the government through bogus bills and documents. Later, during an inquiry conducted by ACE Deputy Director Hassan Raza, all allegations were proved. In another case, inquiry officer Hassan Raza recommended action against former DSP traffic Farkhanda Kausar for receiving bribe and making bogus driving licence. At this, the ACE director directed to arrest the accused former DSP and asked the traffic authorities to take departmental action against other traffic officials including traffic wardens Nisar Fatima, accountant Ammara and inspector headquarter Khalil Ahmed for assisting accused Farkhanda Kausar.
DEATH WARRANTS: The district and sessions judge on Saturday issued death warrants for a rapist.
Convict Arshad had raped a 12-year-old girl at Pindi Bhattian on Oct 3, 1989. His mercy appeals were rejected by various courts and the President of Pakistan. He would be hanged in the Central Jail on Feb 25.
