DASKA: Robbers deprived locals of cash, cellphones and other valuables on Saturday night.
Dr Abid Ali, Hafiz Muneer and others said three dacoits deprived them of cash and other valuables on the GT Road, near police post Jesirwala.
Dr Abid told reporters he was intercepted by the robbers and was deprived of cash. He said he called 15 police but all in vain.
Munir alleged the robbers looted them near Jesirwala police post where policeman were sleeping. Locals protested outside the DSP office and demanded action against the police post cops.
They urged higher authorities to look into the matter.
DCO VISITS HOSPITAL: The Sialkot District Coordination Officer (DCO) Saturday paid a surprise visit to Civil Hospital, Daska, and inspected different departments of the hospital.
At emergency ward, visitors complained him of the shortage of medicines.
KIDNAP ATTEMPT: Four people Saturday tried to abduct the son of a landlord in the limits of Satra police.
Abdullah was sitting at his out-house when Munwar and his accomplices allegedly came and tried to abduct him. Meanwhile, the father of Abdullah reached the spot and to see him the kidnapers fled the scene.
