unpaid for three months
Say officials told them they have shortage of funds,
demand CM order immediate payment of pension

OKARA: Fifteen retired employees of the Depalpur and Basirpur TMAs have been without pension for the last three months.
Talking to newsmen here on Friday, the retired employees, including Rashid Ahmad, Muhammad Rafiq Hashmi, Muhammad Shafiq Hashmi and Muhammad Akbar, said that they had been facing several problems due to non-payment of pension. They said that their pension was already insufficient and meager but somehow or other, they were managing their daily life. They said that when they visited their TMAs, the officials told them that they had shortage of funds. The officials further told them that their pension would be deposited in the banks after issuance of funds by the provincial government, the pensioners added. They have demanded CM Mian Shahbaz Sharif look into the matter and order immediate payment of their pension.
