39 out-of-turn promoted cops demoted

JHANG: The DPO has withdrawn out-of-turn promotions of 39 police officials, including seven sub-inspectors and 22 ASIs, and demoted them to the rank of constable.
According to a DPO office notification No 1075-77/Legal issued in compliance with the order of the Supreme Court and in the light of the directions of the Punjab IGP, out-of-turn promotions of sub-inspectors Umer Hayat, Haq Nawaz, Muhammad Shafi, Muhammad Sarfraz, Aftab Alam, Zulfiqar Ali and Rab Nawaz and ASIs Muhammad Saleem, Ghulam Murtaza, Arshad Ali, Abdul Hameed, Muhammad Saleem, Ali Raza, Muhammad Ashraf, Muhammad Iqbal, Iftikhar Ahmed, Safdar Ali, Ashraf Ali, Zahoor Ahmad, Muzaffar Ali, Iftikhar Ahmad, Abid Hussain, Mazhar Abbas, Muhammad Saeed, Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Naveed, Umer Hayat and Muhammad Ashraf were withdrawn.
Similarly, out-of-turn promotions of 10 head constables were also withdrawn and they were demoted to the rank of constable. Meanwhile, demotion cases of three DSPs and five inspectors of the district have been forwarded to the IGP.
ADDITIONAL CHARGE: DCO Nadir Chattha has surrendered the services of District Officer/XEN (Buildings) Jalil Tahir and sent him at the disposal of the Communication and Works Department’s secretary.
The C&W secretary by accepting the relieving orders of the DCO entrusted the additional charge of the DO (Buildings) to DO (Roads) Dr Rizwan Nazir.
