Mirza Ghalib remembered

Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) and Pakistan Adabi Forum, arranged a ‘Mehfil-e-Mushaira’, entitled ‘Bayad-e-Ghalib’, in connection with death anniversary of renowned poet of sub-continent, Mirza Ghalib, here on Monday. 

Senior poet Jamil Yousaf presided over the ceremony and Prof Yousaf Hassan was chief guest while Anjum Khaleeq was guest of honor.

Prof Athatr Qaseem anchored the ‘mushaira’. The poets included Naseem-e-Sahar, Hassan Abbas Raza, Dr Farhat Abbas, Abdul Qadir Tabban, Prof Munir Fayyaz, Asad Baig, Farzana Janan, Zia ud Din Naeem, Mazhar Masood, Arif Farhad, Prof Kaleem Ehsan, Prof Muzafar Aslam, Faryal Masood, Mazhar Iqbal, Naeem Akram Qureshi, Samina Ahmed and others presented their poetry and paid rich tribute to Mirza Ghalib.
