The DIG said the shooting occurred in Clifton’s Block-5 near Karachi Grammar School when two men tried to snatch Dr Qamar’s bag as she made her way to her car. As SI Naveed intervened and tried to overpower the muggers, one of them managed to shoot him in the chest at close range.
