QUETTA: At least 10 suspected militants were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces during a search operation in the Sangaan area of the Sibi district on Saturday.

“The gun battle continued for several hours in which 10 militants were killed while 12 others were arrested. The security forces also destroyed the hideouts of the militants.
“At least 10 suspected militants have been killed in the security operation while 12 others were arrested,” the sources said, adding that three camps of the militants were also destroyed. The security forces also recovered weapons from the camps. A further probe was under way.
