Urban Flooding: Pak Navy’s relief operations in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: In the wake of torrential rains in Karachi, Pakistan Navy Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations are underway in different towns of Karachi.
According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, the rescue teams provided all out support and assisted PDMA Sindh by rescuing locals stranded in flooded homes. By utilising own sources, PN rescue teams drained large quantity of flooded water, he added.
Pakistan Navy troops reached out to different areas of Karachi, including Mauripur, Punjab Chowrangi, Bizerta Line, Lyari, Saddar and Shershah. Pakistan Navy is on high alert and has always remained at the forefront in extending humanitarian assistance during natural calamities, said the Pak Navy spokesperson.
