Two militants killed in Zhob
ZHOB: The Frontier Corps (FC) shot dead two alleged militants and recovered arms from their possession in a search operation in the Soor area of Zhob district on Monday. According to the FC spokesman, acting on a tip-off, the FC personnel carried out a search operation in the area when the militants opened fire on them. Two alleged militants were killed in retaliation by the FC personnel. Weapons, including two Kalashnikovs, magazines and a large number of bullets were also recovered from their possession. Further investigation was underway.
Meanwhile, unknown armed men shot and injured a man at the Satellite Town area of the provincial capital. According to police sources, victim Muhammad Sharif was on way to somewhere when armed assailants opened fire on him and fled. As a result, he received wounds and was rushed to the Civil Hospital. Police registered a case and started investigation.
