Landlord stabbed to death

HAFIZABAD: A landlord was stabbed to death at Kot Hashmat on Sunday.
Some unidentified accused entered the house of Malik Nasir Hussain and stabbed him to death. Police have started investigation. Meanwhile, Muhammad Asad attempted suicide by self-immolation over a domestic dispute at Sukheke Mandi. He was rushed to a hospital in Lahore in critical condition.
281 TEMPORARY TEACHERS REGULARISED: The District Promotion Committee has regularised the services of 281 temporary teachers on the recommendations of their head teachers.
In this connection, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of DCO Muhammad Usman in which EDO Education Iftikhar Nawaz Virk and DO Elementary Ghazala Anwar also participated. It was told in the meeting that 113 teachers working in grade 9, 76 teachers in grade 14 and 92 teachers in grade 15, appointed from 2010 to 2015, had been made permanent forthwith. Muttahida Mahaz Asataza president Riaz Ahmad Tarar and general secretary Muhammad Shabbir Gujjar have thanked the DCO and the EDO Education for regularisation of the services of the teachers.
