Qureshi for making judicial
commission to probe Karachi killings

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf national organiser Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has asked the government to make a judicial commission to probe the killings of the PIA workers in Karachi.
Addressing the PTI workers gathered against the proposed privatisation of the PIA at Chowk Nawan Sher, Shah Mehmood Qureshi demanded the government immediate with drawl from the decision of proposed privatisation of the PIA, Steel Mill and Wapda. He rejected reduction in fuel prices and said it was not according to the international market. He demanded at least Rs 5 more cut in petrol prices to give a relief to the common man. He said that the people were facing unavailability of natural gas but the government was going to increase 38pc gas tariff, which would not be acceptable at any level. Qureshi demanded withdrawal from the imposition of Essential Services Act. He also demanded bringing reforms in the FBR and bringing black money back to Pakistan deposited in the abroad banks. Meanwhile, the Multan Development Authority Workers Union observed the black day to show solidarity with the PIA employees and staged a demonstration in front of the Multan Press Club against the proposed privatisation of the PIA. The protestors demanded the government immediate withdrawal from the proposed privatisation of the PIA and compensation to the PIA workers killed in Karachi protest. The protesting workers also demanded elimination of the Privatisation Commission.
