Three killed in Swabi firing
SWABI: Three people including a woman and chairman of a village council were killed and two others were injured when two groups clashed here on Friday, the police said.
SHO of the Kalu Khan Police Station, Haroon Khan, said the two groups, one belonging to Rashakai village and the other to Managi village, had not registered any FIRs He said one of the injured told the police that they had exchanged hot words over some matter early in the morning and a clash took place later. He said the police were investigating the case.
Locals said the group from Rashakai attacked the house of their rivals and the latter retaliated. The firing between the two groups continued for hours. As a result, Muhammad Saeed and Basirat Begum were killed from Managi group, while Asghar Khan, chairman of Rashakai village council, also died. Intizar Khan and a young passer-by, Muhammad Hassan were injured.
