On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab arranged Road Shows in London and Manchester.
According to a spokesperson of the OPC, the purpose of these Road Shows was to create awareness among overseas Pakistanis living in UK and redress their grievances on the spot. A large number of overseas Pakistanis from UK participated in these events. Commissioner OPC Punjab Afzaal Bhatti, speaking on these occasions, said OPC Punjab was a flagship initiative of the CM Punjab and we were working wholeheartedly to resolve the problems of overseas Pakistanis. The overseas Pakistanis appreciated the efforts of chief minister Punjab for resolving the issues of overseas Pakistanis. Capt ® Shaheen Khalid Butt, Vice-Chairperson OPC Punjab and DIG Ahmad Mubin, Additional Director General (Police Matters) also addressed the participants and informed them that the OPC Punjab vigorously followed and resolved the complaints of overseas Pakistanis, especially the response of police regarding the complaints of overseas Pakistanis was commendable. The prominent leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-(N) from UK also participated in the events.
